Career Resource Center

UCS maintains a comprehensive collection of materials for career development and exploration. These materials include handouts, books, periodicals, videotapes, DVDs, and CD-ROMs, some of which are produced in UCS. An important ongoing goal for the Career Resource Center is to provide useful information for students from all academic disciplines and with any occupational interests.

The Career Resource Center contains books on all kinds of occupations, which describe the nature of work, the training a student would need, salaries, and even variations within an occupation. For example, what is the difference between a Registered Nurse, a Licensed Practical Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner? Is it better for you to become a licensed counselor or a licensed social worker? The answers to these and many more questions about specific occupations are available in the Career Resource Center.
